Indian Commissioner visits

The newly appointed Indian High Commissioner, Kailash Lal Agrawal, is visiting Grand Cayman to present his credentials to the Governor, Mr. Bruce Dinwiddy.

The High Commissioner, who is stationed in Kingston, Jamaica, is accredited to the Government of the Cayman Islands and is required to visit from time to time for discharge of his official duties.

During his first official visit to the Islands he also paid courtesy calls to Leader of Government Business Kurt Tibbetts, Chief Secretary George McCarthy, Attorney General Sam Bulgin, Financial Secretary Kenneth Jefferson, Minister of Education Alden McLaughlin, Minister of Tourism Charles Clifford, Chief Immigration Officer Franz Manderson, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Joey Hew.

Accompanying him on the four-day trip, which concludes today, are his wife Mrs. Kiran Agrawal and the Indian High Commission’s Second Secretary and Head of Chancery Mr. Bimal Saigal.
