Feedback sought on Administrator-General post

In January 2011, the Law Reform Commission was requested by the attorney general to provide recommendations on the introduction of the Office of Administrator-General in the Cayman Islands.

Such an office is similar to that of a public trustee and provides functions such as legal representation for children and mentally-disabled persons and the administration of the estates of persons who have died intestate.

The commission invites comments on this subject and is releasing a discussion paper that summarises the history and role of such an office and appended thereto is a draft Administrator-General Bill, 2012. These documents are available on

Comments should be submitted in writing by 3 May 2012 to the Director of the Law Reform Commission, 3rd Floor Anderson Square, or mailed to the Law Reform Commission, PO Box 1999 or sent by e-mail to [email protected]
