I read with interest the issue of bicycle lights on our roads. I agree that those who neglect to have a light installed on their bike pose a grave danger to themselves rather than to the motorist.
However, what steps are being taken against those clowns who drive motor vehicles at dusk and dawn without any lights whatsoever?
These are the real criminals who endanger the lives of others. Just about every morning and late evening, I encounter vehicles driving with no lights.
There have been occasions when I have attempted to enter traffic from a stop sign and an oncoming vehicle with no lights is traveling immediately in front of a lighted vehicle, which makes it almost invisible.
Are there no laws which mandate the use of lights during early morning at dusk and during a rain shower?
I hope the police will address this matter along with the bicycle initiative.
