Saturday, 5 May, is the date, and 5:55 is the traditional start time for the CINCO DE MAYO 5K RUN/WALK, but there is a new twist this year–it will be 5:55 in the morning!
In deference to the Batabano activities on Saturday, the CINCO action will begin at dawn, and all all participants and spectators will have the opportunity to enjoy a Cayman (Tequila)Sunrise.
Everyone is invited to join in the early morning festivities, and costumes welcome.
Participants will follow a route along South Church Street which starts and finishes opposite the South Cruise Terminal.
Race day registration commences at 5:00 a.m.-it’s 5 o’clock somewhere!-and pre-race day registration will be greatly appreciated.
Awards will be presented at Breezes by the Bay, and refreshments will be provided at that location as well.
Theme-related prizes will be offered to top performers, as well as a number of random prizes, and all participants will receive unique event shirts.
