Police have charged a man with the June 2005 murder of 31-year-old Preston Rehardo McLean Junior aka Bobo.
The accused man, Omar Badou Robinson, appeared in Summary Court on Tuesday. He is 22 and of a Bodden Town address.
Magistrate Grace Donalds remanded Robinson in custody until 15 August at the suggestion of Crown Counsel Gail Johnson.
Attorney Nicholas Dixey appeared for Robinson.
According to a press release from the Royal Cayman Islands Police, Preston received stab wounds and a blow to his head on 25 June 2005. The incident occurred in a parking lot near the former Octopus nightclub.
The release indicated that the Criminal Investigations Department always treated the case as open and active. It was said that new evidence came to light in June this year.
