Duties and Responsibilities • Act as the named AMLCO and MLRO and principal point of contact between Harneys Cayman and the competent authorities. • Ensure compliance by Harneys Cayman and its employees with the provisions of the applicable AML/CFT legislation. • Identify, measure and assess AML/CFT and compliance risks and ensure compliance with regulatory objectives. • Maintain functional responsibility for all Harneys Cayman compliance systems and controls. • Maintain a monitoring programme of on-going effectiveness. • Evaluate and monitor adequacy of anti-money laundering policies and procedures and internal controls to ensure full compliance with all enactments relating to AML/CFT. • Determine primary regulatory, compliance, financial crimes and sanctions risks. • Provide timely and effective regulatory advice to staff of Harneys Cayman with regards to AML/CFT laws, and other applicable regulatory laws. • Manage relationships with fee earners and fiduciary employees to provide advice and technical support as required. • Manage the Cayman compliance team by guiding team members to the right outcomes for client take on and monitoring with regards to the risk appetite of the firm, including managing the second line of defense. • Maintain regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, Anti-Bribery and other risk related policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience • Educated to degree level with an internationally recognized compliance qualification. • Excellent management skills with at least 8 years’ relevant experience in senior Fiduciary or Legal and compliance roles. • High level of technical knowledge on relevant compliance issues. • Proven technical knowledge of Global (onshore and offshore) financial services products. • Approved Person status in at least 1 (preferably more) of the juridictions in which Harneys operates. • Working knowledge of and experience with financial services regulations in mulitiple juridictions. • Excellent communication skills both written an verbal. • Excellent AML/CFT Training skills. • Highly computer literate - Micorsoft Word, Excel, Elite and ViewPoint Salary will reflect qualifications and experience and be in the range of US$90,000 - US$130,000 per annum.
