The paintings of Mrs. Ruth M. Harvey of Prince Rupert, B.C. were much admired by the many residents and visitors who took the opportunity to view them in the foyer of La Fontaine Hotel on Thursday. The beautiful water colours of scenes in George Town, Bodden Town and East End were colourful and very much "alive" and included the artist's impression of Pedro Castle, the ancient graves, the wrecks on the reef at East End, with a little thatch boat shed in the foreground, several of the very old houses and Fort George. Also on display were several portraits of folk Mrs. Harvey has met here and she told our reporter that on her next visit, which will probably be at Christmastime, she hopes that she will be able to find more people to sit for her.
