Miss Ercel who was visiting with relatives and friends returned home to Nicaragua. Through this medium she has asked to express thanks to all those who helped in any way to make her trip a successful and happy one. Mr. Albert Berry who was at home vacationing, returned to sea. Mrs. Alida Jackson left for the U.S.A. She will be visiting with her son and his family for a little while.

We will miss her from the community, but wish her a pleasant stay. Recently the Interim Report on William Jackson was received from England where he is studying. This report is very satisfactory and is as follows: "He is making good use of his training and his course Tutor is satisfied with his industry, attendance, behaviour and progress." Congratulations: Best of luck to you for your future work, Bill. Mr. & Mrs. Phillip Carmer paid a short visit to the Island last week from the Bahamas. They are two missionaries who go every year from the United States to do missionarywork. They go chiefly to the Bahamas and to the Virgin Islands. The couple were the guests of Mrs. Edison Jackson of Bodden Town for the night and next morning they left for Cayman Brac for 17 days to do missionary work. We wish them great success during their stay there. On May 14th 1969, Mr. Hugh Powell of this district passed away very quietly at his home.
