Marguerite, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee A. Ebanks of West Bay became Mrs. Don Mullens on Saturday last at a marriage service in the United Church. The couple were wed by the Rev. John R. Gray who had previously married the four other children in this family.

He was assisted by the Rev. R. Coke, present Minister of the Church. Mrs. S.G. Cook was at the organ and Mrs. P. Hylton contributed two solos, "God be in my Head" and "Alleluja!" by Mozart, during the service which also included the hymn "The Lord's My Shepherd". The bride who was tastefully dressed in a full length gown of white organza and lace embroidered with seed pearls, carried a Prayer Book beautifully adorned with stephanotis and a white orchid. Attending Marguerite were her nieces Debbie Ebanks, chief bridesmaid, Della Ebanks and Susan Jackson, bridesmaids, and nephews David Ebanks and Daniel Bodden, as groomsmen. Mr. Brian Bothwell was the bestman. A delicious buffet supper was served at the reception at Galleon Beach Hotel when Mr. E.O. Panton was the M.C. Proposing the toast to the bride and groom, Rev. J.R. Gray recalled the fact that he had known the bride and her family for over 20 years and mentioned the special friendship which existed between Marguerite and his daughter Elizabeth who had travelled from Jamaica to be present at the wedding. Mr. Graham Ebanks, who had met the Mullens family in Miami 'had a special word to say for the bridegroom's mother who had never travelled by air before the journey to Cayman on the 12th with her son and Mrs. Young, a friend of hers. He also expressed regret that Mr. Mullens Sr. was unable to be present due to unavoidable circumstances.

He then proposed a toast to the parents of the bridegroom. A long-standing friend of Mr. Lee and his wife, Mr. E.O. Panton spoke very highly of the family in calling for a toast to the parents of the bride. Mr. Brian Bothwell with extreme brevity said, "May I ask you to rise and drink a toast to the beautiful bridesmaids," and the groom, taking a cue from Brian just expressed thanks to everybody. Mr. Lee Ebanks thanked all for attending, Mr. David Mitchell and Galleon Beach Hotel staff for their co-operation, and then he and his wife concluded these proceedings by drinking to the health of their family and guests. The happy occasion concluded with a dance to the music of the Tornadoes.
