There was a party at the Beach Club Colony on Thursday last, given by Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Muse in honour of their son John who is on a visit at the present time. Part of the decoration of the room consisted of bunches of plantains and after the function was over the guests decided to sell these. Lots of guests bought and gave back the fruit and it isn't quite certain who took the plantains home in the end. What is quite certain, however, is that Mrs. J.E.B. Ollquist, brought J$20.00 into the Caymanian office on Friday as a donation to the Cayman Brac Hospital Fund. This has been paid into Barclays Bank in George Town for transfer to this Fund at their branch in Cayman Brac. It is gratifying to know that the photo and brief report on the Cay. man Brac Hospital last Thursday brought forth such a speedy response and we hope others will follow suit.
