According to Mr. Leonard Cohen, enthusiastic sportsman of Grand Cayman, a handful of people feel a new competitive sport would be welcomed by the youth of the Island. With this thought in mind they suggest a boxing club be formed. Since is is felt such a club would be well supported, a meeting will be held early in December to initiate the organization...a date for the meeting to be announced later. The Caymanian Weekly has been advised that Detective Inspector D. Tricker, a Naval Instructor, and many others have offered to teach, train and coach. Any suggestions or offers of assistance may be addressed to Mr. Cohen, P.O. Box 706. Youngsters between the ages of 6 and 18 who are interested in taking up this sport may give their names, ages and approximate weight, together with written permission from their parents or guardians to Mr. Cohen.
