Arrangements are being made for the next production to be staged by the Cayman Drama Society, in June. The one act play, "Black Comedy", by Peter Shaffer will last for one hour and 15 minutes. Ian Stansfield will direct the play. Auditions for the parts will be held on May 7th for members and other interested parties. The reading will take place in the private suite at Galleon Beach Hotel at 8:00 P.M. In this play the usual conditions of light and dark are reversed: when the lights are 'on' we see nothing but darkness: when they are 'off' we see the characters behaving as if they were in a blackout. The story revolves around an ambitious young sculptor who is trying to impress his future father-in-law. He invites a millionaire to come and see his works. When the lights fuse in the apartment various characters appear on the stage. This makes the young man's night a complete disaster. The play is modern and the situations which occur in the "darkness" cause great hilarity. The first half hour of the show will be sponsored by the Cayman Folk Singers.

The first show is planned for June 18th and there will be a cast of three females and five males.
