Rehearsals have started for the Cayman Drama Society's next production, Willis Halls "THE LONG AND THE SHORT AND THE TALL," and the production crew is almost complete. New member Rosemary Griffiths is Property Mistress, and members of the public who are approached by her to lend sten guns and hand grenades which may be in their possession are asked to give their co-operation. We can guarantee that she will use them only for the play!

Carolee Furze has the problematic job of Wardrobe Mistress; the biggest problem being whether to hire the eight army uniforms, or to make them. The former course involves vast expense, and the latter, considerable work. The play takes place in the Malayan jungle, and the set represents a crude hut with much thatching and bamboo.

Incidentally, if anyone knows where we can get some lengths of real bamboo, please let any C.D.S. member know, as this would make our job much easier. This production, by the way, will not take place at the Cinema after all. We should like to take this opportunity of thanking John Maples and his Board of Directors for kindly offering us the use of their premises, and we hope to be able to use them at some future date. In this connection, we would also like to thank Carolyn Cupidon and Mrs. Gliddon of the Government Offices, who have been so helpful in arranging for us the use of the Town Hall for the relevant dates, the 10th to the 14th December.
