Out of a three-way tie, Dexter Ebanks ended up the winner on Family Fair Day. He guessed the weight and contents at 580 pounds along with Jimmy Powell (second) who won a $100 voucher at Black Coral and, Steve McCoy (third) who won a dinner for two at the Grand Old House. The tie was decidedby guessing a weight of water.

Here Dexter (third from left) receives congratulations from Kiwanis President Verne Borden, while Vice President Bernie Passman, secretary Peter Wormsley and director Stuart Howie look on. Other prizes included a Kodak camera from McTaggart's Photo Centre for Paul Stoll, a $50 voucher from Brenda's Island Imports for Garlon Jackson, dinner for two at the Beach Club for Rolin Chisholm and a year's subscription to the Northwester for R.A. Farrington.
