The Cayman Drama Society's long days and nights of rehearsal have come to an end as "A Man For All Seasons" premieres at the Town Hall in George Town Tomorrow, Wednesday April 12 Directed by Nick Press, the 16th century story of Sir Thomas More and the momentous role he played in matters of Church and State in England was written by Robert Bolt.

Margaret Barwick, assisted by Gale Shaw, designed the set. Producer is Janet Webber.

Writing earlier on the play, Nick Press noted: "We have much to learn from this great man of long ago, and I hope when you see the play, you will find much that can be applied to your daily life. "It is most fitting that this year celebrated the 500th anniversary of this man's birth, and the Drama Society is looking forward to bringing him to life for you."

Playing the part of Sir Thomas More is Peter Wooton, with David Wheaton as the irrascible King Henry VIII, to whom More was a "good servant, but God's first." Other parts are played by Anthony Stales as Master Richard Rich, Michael Blackie as The Duke of Norfolk, Angela Crichton as Lady Alice More, Barrie-Sue Bergstrom as Lady Margaret More, Michael Mann as Cardinal Wolsey, Michael Parker as Thomas Cromwell, Stephen Williams as Signor Chapuys, Alister Paterson as Thomas Cranmer, Peter Webber as The Common Man, and Ann Smith as A Woman.

Production dates are April 12, 13, 14, 15, and April 20, 21, and 22. Box Office facilities are outside the Bank of Nova Scotia building on Panton Street.
