Suckoo and Chris Wight then had a reasonable partnership before the former went for 21 and then it was brother David.
Christopher was run out for 43 and David Wight and J. Hamilton took the score to the final total of 194 for 4 wickets at the end of time. The fourth wicket was that of the Wight batsman who was ironically caught off the last ball of the innings. He by then had made 78 and Hamilton finished at 22 not out.
School in reply could only muster 113 with opener Wilson outstanding batsman scoring 43, Skinner a short stump 32 and young Webb 16.
Bowling honours for By-Rite went to Brian Wight who took 4-20, and mention must be given to the time wicket-keeping of Christopher Wight took 4 catches behind the wicket.

Clouds threatened early on Sunday as the last match got underway with Police batting first against Cavaliers.
It was fairly obvious that time was of an essence in this game and the lawmen certainly decided to get on with the scoring as Blackman and Hall went after the bowling attack of Ellis and Smith.
Rutter came on in place of Ellis and got Hall LBW with his fourth delivery. Captain Williams was the next batsman in but he returned some 5 runs later with the score at 43 for 2. Wickets then started to fall at the rate of virtually one per over and with the score at 59 for 6 in 12.5, overs the rain that had been threatening decided to fall and that was the end to what could have been a good match. Rutter got 4 ckets for 12 runs and $mith 2 for 21 for Cavaliers. This is the second time this match has been scheduled and it will be interesting to see whether the third time will be lucker, or if the points are to be shared in this largely academic final game of the 1979 League.
