They are Larry Gomes, an all-rounder, Augustine Logie, an aggressive 21-year-old batsman, and bowler Harold Joseph.
Both Logie and Joseph made first class appearances in this year's domestic Shell Shield series. The selectors have recalled opening batsman Faoud Bacchus of Guyana who failed to make the test side earlier this year against England. Clive Lloyd will once again lead the team with Stephen Camacho as manager, both Loyd and Camacho are from Guyana.
The Caribbean cricketers will play three test matches during the four-month tour and 15 one-day international matches, they will face Pakistan which also be visiting Australia.
The team announced by the West Indies Cricket Board of Control includes Clive Loyd, Captain (Guyana), Faoud Bacchus (Guyana), Sylvester Clarke (Barbados), Colin Groft (Guyana), Jeffrey Dujon (Jamaica), Larry Gomez (Trinidad), Gordon Greenage (Barbados), Desmond Haynes Fauod Bacchus the Guyanese opening batsman and brilliant cover fieldsman has been named captain of a 14-man West Indies team to tour Zimbabwe in October.
A statement issed by the West Indies Cricket Board of Control secretary Harold Brunetts, said financial arrangements for the tour have not yet been finalized with the Zimbabwe Cricket Union.
The Trinidad and Tobago government has been approached by the West Indies board for sponsorships of passages of the tour party from the West Indies to London and back. But the Board made it clear it could not say whether the tour would materialize.
