Out of the squad are 18-year-old Antiguan fast bowler George Ferris, who toured England with the West Indies Youth Team last year, and wicketkeeper-batsman, Everette Sargeant of Nevis. Their places have beeen taken by Anthony Merrick of Antigua, and Kittian Shirlon Williams.
Medium-pacer Merrick was also a member of the West Indies Youth Team to England last summer, but was curtailed in last year's Leeward Islands tournament through a back injury. Ferris, who played in both the Shell Shield and Geddes Grant-Harrison Line matches against Barbados and Guyana, is suffering from a thigh injury, and has not really found his rhythm so far this season.
Wicketkeeper-batsman, Williams makes a return to the side after getting the number one spot last year and his introduction is expected to bolster the batting which has been the Leewards' main let down so far.
The team which is expected to leave Antigua is Andy Roberts (Capt), Luther Kelly, Richard Richardson, Enoch Lewis, Jim Allen, Stephen Liburd, Rolston Otto, Shirlon Williams, Eldine Baptiste, Elquemedo Wilette, Noel Guishard, Victor Eddy, Anthony Merrick, and Danny Livingstone (Manager).
