The Good Neighbour Club celebrating with a Christmas Social on Wednesday eveinig did their part in spreading yuletide cheer when president of the club, Yumi Kapoor made donations to two local organizations.

Before making the presentations Mrs. Kapoor addressed the gathering explaining some of the work and goals of the club.

She said that the club while keeping a low profile endeavoured to help those individuals and families who are in need. Sighting an example of one recent case where a lady, a single parent with two children, had run out of money while in the process of building her home. Good Neighbour's, hearing of the woman's need gave financial assistance. Mrs Kapoor added that the woman was a hard worker and deserved the helping hand.
Accepting a check for the NCSS Pines Retirement Centre, Dick Arch, Chairman of NCSS told the gathering that the work done by the club was appreciated and that the Pines gladly accepted the funds.

Mr. Bruce Bervin, President of Kiwanis of Grand Cayman accepted a donation from the Good Neighbours for their hearing programme. Praising the work of the club and the donation to the Kiwanis, he said that the Good Neighbour Club was different than many of the other local organizations because they worked with many individuals and families in need filling the gap between the work done by the other community clubs.

Guests at the gathering included many new members of Good Neighbours along with officials from most of the other local service organizations on Grand Cayman.
