Rome - World Boxing Association (WBA) junior welterweight champion Ubaldo Nestor Sacco of Argentina on Friday asked a two-month postponement of his title defense against Italian challenger Patrizio Oliva, matchmaker Rodolfo Sabbatini reported.

In a telex to the Italian matchmaker Sacco said he needed an extension for his preparation following a foot surgery he underwent recently.

Sacco was scheduled to fight Oliva in Monte Carlo on Nov. 23.
