Perth, Australia (AP)-An international team tennis tournament will offer prize money of $80,000 to the winning team and be played in Perth from 28 December to 1 January.

To be called the Hopman Cup, in honour of the former Australian Davis Cup captain Harry Hopman, the evenit will feature eight teams from leading nations, each comprising one man and one woman.

Each three-match tie will consist of men's singles, women's singles and mixed doubles.
