The tournament is open to all and the categories of the competition will be men's singles, ladies' singles, mixed doubles, junior boys' singles, junior girls' singles and junior mixed doubles.
All senior events will be divided into grades A and B for experienced and inexperienced players.
Junior players will be those under age 16 as of 1 September 1988.
Trophies will be awarded to all winners and runners-up in each division and grade.
Some of the players who competed successfully in Jamaica recently will be competing in the competition, among them Chris Cole and Findlay Joseph who made an all-Cayman singles final in Group C. The entrance fee is $5 for adults and $2 for juniors and forms are available from Cable and Wireless, Anderson Square, or at any local sporting goods shop.
The tournament is being organised by the Cayman Islands Badminton Association and all entry forms must be returned with entry fees no later than 30 September.
This is the first year that Cable and Wireless is involved as a sponsor of this tournament.
