* The Garden Club will be holding a meeting tommorrow afternoon at 3:20 at the Elmslie Church Hall. Guest speaker at the meeting will be Charles Hubbuch, curator of palms and cycads at Fairchild Tropical Gardens in Miami, Florida. If you are interested in attending the meeting please contact Mrs. Flanagan at 74757. * The Cayman Islands Cancer Society invites all to an "Open House" at their new office at the Island Centre on Walkers Road, Tuesday, 6 February from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. * The Good News Baptist Church is holding a Sweetheart Banquet on Friday, 16 February, at the George Town Hall. Price per person is $8.50. Tickets can be purchased at Hawkins Jewelery. * The AGM of the Cayman Islands' Prison Ministry Fellowhship will be held on Monday, 5 February, at 7:00pm at the Church on Hospital Road. All members and interested persons should attend. * The Kiwaniannes will be holding a meeting this evening at 7:30 at Fayanne DeFreitas' Home in Red Bay. All members are asked to attend. * The Miss Cayman World-Universe Committee presents Rock & Roll night at the Grand Pavillion Hotel this Saturday at 7:30pm. There will be dancing, prizes, and surprises. * There will be a pre-Valentine ball for teenagers at the Middle School Hall this Saturday from 6pm to 10pm. Lots of fun, prizes and surprizes for everyone.

Tickets are $3.00. * The Members of the Chamber of Commerce and the general public are invited to attend this month's luncheon/general meeting today at 12:15pm at the L'Escargot Restaurant in the Treasure Island Resort. The guest speaker will be Mr. Neil Cruickshank, Chaiman of the Board of Cayman Airways Ltd. Reservations should be made by calling the Chamber's office at 94746. * The Cayman Islands High School annual cross island road relay will be held on 10 February.

The race starts at 7am east of Sand Bluff, East End and finishes at the High School. All runners on the island are invited to participate. Entry forms are available from the High School and the entry fee is $30 per team. * The Girls' Brigade is holding a Jumble Sale at the Elmslie Church Hall this Saturday starting at 7am. * The second reporting sessions for parents of children with surnames beginning with L to Z at the Cayman Islands Middle school will be held today, from 5 to 7pm. * Sign Language classes are held every Thursday from 7 to 8:30pm at the Hospital conference centre.

The public is invited. * There will be Jewish Friday services every Friday night at 8 and Oneg Shabbat will follow services.
