Cayman Imports Ltd. and Cayman Food Service & Supplies Ltd. celebrated the completion of their new warehouse/office complex on Walkers Road in George Town with a grand opening and trade show on November 14 and 15. The official ceremony was held on the 14th, when Administrative Secretary Lemuel Hurlston declared the state-of-the-art warehouse open, and the ceremonial ribbon was cut by Mrs. Leonie Merren. On the 15th, the hotel, restaurant, condo and industrial trade show provided all-day attractions for the general public. In addition to the varied displays, attractions included a wide variety of foods and drinks provided by the 20-plus exhibitors, as well as giveaways and special prizes. Entertainment was provided both days by the Borderline Wranglers country and western band from Phoenix, Arizona. With arrangements by Cayman Imports Ltd./Cayman Food Service & Supplies Ltd., the band was also the featured entertainment at a westernstyle hoedown at the East End playing field on the night of the 15th. Part-proceeds from the event were used to start a fund for the purchase of an ambulance for the East End community. Some photographic highlights of the two-day event are shown. A FAMILY AFFAIR-Mrs. Leonie Merren, Vice President of Cayman Imports Ltd., cuts the ribbon as members of the family assist.
