Generous local businesses are digging deep to help out Caymanian children who want to go to a summer fitness camp.

The four Cayman companies have forked out to sponsor a different child for a week or two weeks at the Fitkids. camp.

The camp, run by Fitness Connection, tries to be more educational, with a variety of projects, trips and artwork.

The sponsorship program, which has so far attracted money from Coutts & Co, Caribbean Utilities Company, Barclays Ltd and Cable & Wireless, was the brainchild of Laura Ribbins, owner of Fitness Connection.

She contacts Social Services when a business has agreed to sponsor a place, and they contact the children.

There is still time to help, and if you would like to contribute to the sponsorship program, please contact Fitness Connection on 98485.
