Rotary Club of Grand Cayman has been holding a Christmas party for Cayman's old folk since 1965, according to the Club's historian Mr. Harry McCoy.

The party held on Monday, 28 December, was the biggest yet. Estimates from Rotary Club members puts attendance in the region of 400 people. The party was held, as is traditional, in the auditorium of John Gray High School. Long tables fanned out from a stage, centrally place against one wall of the hall, and a dance area.

Entertainment was provided by Henry Leslie, and Chuck and Barrie Quappe, with Radley Gouzong and the Happy Boys providing some lively old time dance music appreciated by many.

Bill McTaggart acted as master of ceremonies.

The Governor Mr. Michael Gore and his wife Monica visited the party. He made a brief speech, extending seasons greeting, and then with his wife mixed with many of the people at the party before joining in the dancing.
