The Cayman Drama Society (CDS) was scheduled to present the world amateur premiere of "Don't Dress for Dinner" last night (22 June), at the Prospect Playhouse. The local production is scheduled to run through 8 July.

"Don't Dress for Dinner," is an hilarious comedy packed with laughs and delights. Originally written by Marc Camoletti in 1985 for French theatre under the title "Pyjamas Pour Six," in 1989 Robin Hawdon wrote the English adaptation, and "Don't Dress" has been playing to capacity audiences in London's West End since early 1991.

The Cayman Drama Society's production is the first time the play has been performed by an amateur society and, according to CDS, it's the first presentation outside London.

The play is directed by CDS director Alan Hall, a stalwart with CDS, who's last expedition was "Oliver."
