While Tortuga Rum enjoys immense popularity, so does Tortuga Rum Cake, and most especially at this time of year. Even as you read this, the smells of sweet, warm, Tortuga Rum Cakes are wafting from their bakery in the Airport Industrial Park.

Tortuga Managing Director Robert Hamaty says that these choice cakes are sent as gifts on a regular basis by residents in Cayman to destinations in Europe, and some have been sent as far as South Africa, and never moreso than during the Christmas holidays.

Tortuga Rum has also enjoyed its share of popularity in the U.S. after a presenter of "Good Morning America" once sampled a cake on the TV show.

A lot closer to home, franchises have been established in Jamaica and the Bahamas, and the cakes are available in Antigua through the gourmet food outlet, Caribbean Trading Post. But for persons in Cayman, Tortuga Rum Cake is literally at our doorstep for you to enjoy.
