Over the past decade, AlphaSoft has expanded from a three-person outfit into a sophisticated operation with nine employees.
"Business really took off in the early 1990s when we started to represent Compaq, the No. 1 seller of personal computers worldwide", said managing director Tony Cleaver. "In fact, sales have doubled in the last year alone.
"Today, AlphaSoft offers a total computer solution for both the large corporate client and the individual. Our computers are installed in many of the major companies in the Island, including WS Walker from AlphaSoft, they can expect total customer support, from the initial consultation to find out a customer's needs, to the installation and after-sales service. and Co., Barclays Bank, and the CI Government”, said Mr. Cleaver. "Business really took off in the early 1990s when we started to represent Compaq, the No. 1 seller of personal computers worldwide." One of the reasons for AlphaSoft's success is that they offer more than just the sale of computer hardware and software.
When a customer buys a computer Tony Cleaver All Compaq computers come with warranties during which the Compaq Corporation covers the full cost of new parts, labour, freight and duty. AlphaSoft can also offer Compaq's preferred pricing concession, meaning discounts of between 10 and 15 percent on other retailers.
High emphasis is placed on training, and AlphaSoft is soon to become an authorised service centre for Hewlett Packard.
AlphaSoft's other products include Microsoft and Novell software, and Epson printers.
