The Chamber of Commerce Business Expo will take place at the Lions Community Centre from 24 - 26 September, 1998. The event, in its seventh year, is the Islands' largest consumer showcase and attracts more than 6,000 visitors. It is an effective and inexpensive way of displaying and promoting products and services. The expo also offers excellent networking opportunities to meet new and existing clients.

The 1998 Chamber of Commerce Business Expo is organised by volunteer members of a Chamber task force which includes: • Chairperson, Mr. Woody Foster (Foster's Food Fair); • Vice Chairperson, Mr. John Wilks (Z99.9 FM); Mr. Christopher Galbraith (Advantage Graphics Advertising and Design Ltd.); Mrs. Tracy Burns (Foster Brothers Ltd.);

Mrs. Jacqueline Baldwin (Blackbeard's Liquor); Mr. K. Parker Tibbetts Jr. (Associated Industries); Mrs. Pam Parson (Worldwide Refinishing Systems Ltd.);

Site Coordinator, Mr. Howie Tipton (Lions Community Centre); and Events Coordinator, Mrs. Gwen Davis (Chamber of Commerce).

The Lions Community Centre will be transformed into a consumer marketplace with 68 booths in the main hall, 10 inside the airconditioned club house, and four in the airconditioned dressing rooms behind the stage.

The Expo will kick off with the grand ceremony and a "Business After Hours" event on Thursday, 24 September, for Chamber members only. The event is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce; British Caymanian Insurance Company Ltd.; Car City; the Cayman Islands Restaurant Association; Jacques Scott & Co.; Bodden Beverages; Tortuga Rum Company; Cayman Distributors; Blackbeards Liquor CI Rum; and Mike's Ice.
