A FedEx press release said FedEx ranked number 75 on the list, up from number 85 last year and number 87 the previous year. FedEx is the largest employer and the only transportation service provider on the roster, which is dominated by several medium to large multinational firms, according to the release.
FedEx is also one of only 28 companies that have made Fortune's "100 Best" ranking every year since the survey's inception in 1998. The release said the honors bestowed on FedEx can be traced to the company's continued commitment to its philosophy of People-Service-Profit, established by FedEx Chairman and founder Frederick W. Smith. "The company's management team values its employees as its greatest asset, and firmly believes that satisfied employees provide superior service to customers, which in turn brings the company profits in which employees share,” stated the release.
FedEx Latin America and Caribbean Division headquarters are located in Miami, Florida. The Division services more than 50 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean and employs more than 3,000 people committed to total customer satisfaction each business day.
