Some 18 lovelies aged between three years old and 17 graced the outdoor catwalk to model stunning outfits in the casual, smart-casual and formal wear sections of the event.
Parents and other family members were out in force to see loved ones strut and pose as if they had been modelling all their lives. The fashion show is an annual fundraiser for the local Cinderella Scholarship programme.
The CI$1,350 raised from this year's event will all go towards awarding scholarships to help some youngsters meet the costs of local and international Cinderella competitions, according to organisers.
Mrs. Celeste Broderick who has been director of the Cinderella Scholarship programme in Cayman for 16 years commented on the larger than last year turnout and said, "It was very gratifying to see the large numbers that turned up to support the show. It gave the girls a real lift. "All the proceeds will help benefit children on the island."
Organisers say that the next local Cinderella pageant takes place at the Harquail Theatre on 24-26 April. Tickets for the show will be available at Hottrax, Edmar's Discount Store and Beltina's from Monday, 24 March.
Those interested in entering their children for the pageant can call Mrs. Broderick on 945-4157 for entry requirements and further details.
