Legislation Leaders

A special Legislative Luncheon held in July featured the new Leader of Government Business, Minister for Financial Services, Tourism and Development, Premier Designate and Member of the Legislative Assembly representing West Bay W. McKeeva Bush.

Joining Minister Bush were other members of the Legislative Assembly including Cline Glidden Jr., deputy speaker of the Legislative Assembly and Member of the Legislative Assembly representing West Bay; Juliana O’Connor-Connolly, minister for District Administration, Works and Gender Affairs, and Member of the Legislative Assembly representing Cayman Brac and Little Cayman; Rolston Anglin, minister of Education, Training and Employment and Member of the Legislative Assembly representing West Bay; Michael Adam, minister of Community Affairs and Housing and Member of the Legislative Assembly representing George Town; Mark Scotland, minister of Health, Environment, Youth, Sports and Culture and Member of the Legislative Assembly representing Bodden Town; Donovan Ebanks, chief secretary; Capt. Eugene Ebanks, Member of the Legislative Assembly representing West Bay; Ellio Solomon, Member of the Legislative Assembly representing George Town; and Dwayne Seymour, Member of the Legislative Assembly representing Bodden Town.

In his address, Chamber President Mr. Stuart Bostock recognised the Government and the Chamber share a common goal of protecting the future of the Cayman Islands. “It is in our best interest to work in partnership to build this country together and the Council and I are committed to this approach in the hope of building a better, more prosperous Cayman for our residents, our businesses and for our children” he commented.

The Legislative Luncheons are organised by the Chamber to facilitate the interaction between Government officials and the private sector, discuss issues of concern, and strengthen the lines of communication between the business community and elected representatives.
