Francesca Hamann who recently completed her first year at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, has received a second international scholarship from dms Organization.  Ms Hamann, who is studying for her Associates in Multimedia Design and Production is on track to graduate in May 2010 at which time she will return to in the position of web designer.

Jelana Eckart graduated with her Paralegal degree from Capilano University in Vancouver, British Columbia, in June. The 10-term programme focused on various areas of substantive and procedural laws, along with matters concerning case law. Ms Eckart is the manager of the Fiduciary Services Division of dms Corporate Services Ltd.

Conyers Dill & Pearman
Conyers Dill & Pearman expands Cayman office with senior attorneys, awards UCCI Scholarship and receives the distinguished award of Offshore Law Firm of the Year. Scholarship was awarded to Sherry Ann Smith, who will be attending the ILEX Legal Secretarial Course at the UCCI for the 2009/2010 academic year. 

New hires include Sara Collins and Bernadette Carey. 
Gene DaCosta moves to Hong Kong office.
John Epp joined the litigation department in July of this year following Stephen Leontsinis joining.

Public Works Department
The Public Works Department places a strong emphasis on staff development. Five staffer members are now pursuing part-time degrees at the UCCI, while others are doing professional certification in architecture, project management, accounting and facilities management.  The department also employs the first certified facilities manager and one of only three LEED certified project managers on Island.
