The New Year is almost upon on us once again and this year promises to be even more spectacular and indulgent than any other, with events taking place all across Grand Cayman for all to enjoy. So here is a run down of some of the best places to be to be to welcome in a new year.
One of the fetes that will surely keep party goers entertained is the Black and White Beach Banquet at the Kaibo, which is an annual celebration to see in the New Year that has been a staple since the Kaibo was established in 1999. The special event this year, which is named “Be Fabulous”, is in association with Moet et Chandon Champagne, and offers the chance to celebrate in style, surrounded by tiki torches, palm trees and good friends. The three course dinner and free flowing champagne will be accompanied by fireworks, paper lantern displays, a live DJ and dancing in the white sand until 1 am.
Plans have also been etched out for a night of sophistication at the Barolo Lounge on the West Bay Road, where planners say the evening will be one to remember with an all inclusive night of revelry for only $100 that includes dinner and drinks. In fact, the night has been appropriately called, “bring the pagne” and party planner for the Barolo Lounge, Mr. Rion Mohamed jokingly says that, “This does not mean you have to bring your own champagne but alludes to the champagne that will be flowing and the pain you will feel the next morning as a result!”
He adds that the atmosphere will be further enhanced by the rendition of a snowy scene inside and out, with decorations provided by Celebrations. The party starts at 8pm.
The Barolo Lounge is an extension of Eduardo’s Restaurant, which organizers say is already 65 per cent booked and they are preparing for what looks like a jam-packed jamboree.
