Caymanian music grout ThE iZ will be performing at Machel Monday, sharing the stage with international super star Pitbull, Machel Montano and others in Trinidad and Tobago on 13 February.
The gig, which is setting up to be the largest performance to date for the group, will come in the midst of Trinidad Carnival.
“Timing couldn’t be better, as the new single by ThE iZ, Whine”features headliner for the show Machel Montano and the song is one of the hottest songs in Trinidad and Tobago at the moment,” said the group’s Manager Dane Ramoon. He added that the buzz around ThE iZ throughout Trinidad and Tobago has reached an all time high, with their social network sites being bombarded by fans eager to host them in their home country.
“With Whine, it just kind of exploded as soon as the new album came out, especially in Trinidad, where Machel is from,” noted Dane.
Machel Monday, A Carnival Concert, takes place at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Trinidad and Tobago. The concert lineup also includes, Machel Montano, Kerwin Du Bois, Kes the Band, Ki and Benjai.
ThE iZ are a Caymanian Islands/Miami-based music group comprised of Jason Gilbert, Lonney McField and Stephan Cotterell. Their sophomore album, Spontaneous, was released August 2011. Their debut album, Beach Club, which was released in 2010 and featured the single Tonight, which reached the number 2 spot on Japan’s USEN International Music Chart.
