The role of fathers in the Cayman Islands is being celebrated by the National Parenting Programme throughout the month.
Today at 6pm, there will be a Dads and the Kids BBQ organised by the West Bay Community-Based Parenting Team. It will be held at the Scholars Park in West Bay.
A Father’s Day presentation on Fatherhood and the Family will be held at John Gray Memorial Church on Sunday.
The North Side Community-Based Parenting Team will host a Family Games Night at the Frank Sound Church of God on 22 June from 7pm to 9pm.
A Dad and the Kids Fun Day and Football event will be hosted by the Savannah/Bodden Town Community-Based Parenting Team. This sporting social will be held at the Bodden Town Primary Playing Field on Saturday, 23 June from 3pm to 5pm.
Cayman Brac residents, especially men of all ages, are invited to the National Parenting Programme’s Fatherhood and the Family presentations, which will be held on Sunday, 24 June, from 5pm to 6pm at the Watering Place Church of God (Holiness) Men’s Group meeting.
Following this, there will be a similar presentation on Monday, 25 June, at 10am, with the men of the Fire and Light Crew of the Cayman Brac Power and Light company.
Everyone, especially fathers of all ages, as well as their children, are encouraged to attend these events. There is no admission cost, and all family members are encouraged to attend the social events with the men.
