Nearly one hundred participants turned out for the first leg of the 2007 Fidelity Fun Run Series on Saturday.From parentally-powered pram passengers to sprightly sextagenarians, an enthusiastic group was on hand for the opening event of the competitive road running season.Fidelity staff were highly visible as volunteerrs, or in the active portion of the event,as Russell Coleman took overall honours in 10:23, and Jack and Tom Gammage led pram division finishers.

Marius Acker was runnerup, and Samuel Muchangi placed thrird.
Beth Schraeder finished seventh overall at 12:55, with Laura Knox two spots back, and Kedeen Foster garneder third place amomng the ladies.
The action continues this Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. across from John Gray High School.
There is still time to join this set of 2 mile runs.Overall and age group awards, refreshments, and event shirts. Entry fee is $5 for each week. Call 945-3970 for details.
