Cayman Airways is advising the travelling public of the current conditions in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale after the passage of Hurricane Wilma.
‘Large portions of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties remain without power, hotel stock is minimal, there is limited gas availability, a curfew is in effect and many businesses including restaurants and supermarkets remain non-operational,’ reads a press release.
Due to these conditions, it is not ‘business-as-usual’ in the South Florida area, says the airline.
‘For these reasons, it is imperative that all passengers contact their connecting airline, hotel or rental car company to reconfirm reservations in efforts to avoid potentially chaotic and distressing situations.’
Passengers who wish to travel should contact Cayman Airways Reservations at 345-949-2311, their local travel agent or visit the Cayman Airways website www.caymanairways.com.
