A 48-year-old West Bay man has denied molesting his preteen daughter.
Appearing before the Grand Court on Friday, 1 Oct., the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty to four counts of defilement, and three counts of abuse of trust.
The charges allege that between 1 July 2018 and 31 Jan. 2021, the man had sexual relations with his daughter, who is under 12 years old.
The man, who is originally from Jamaica, was released on strict bail conditions which include a curfew from 10pm to 5am, not to go within 100 yards of the his daughter’s school, not to contact several witness and to provide a surety of $2,000.
His trial is set for February 2022.
