There is a number of transportation options in the Cayman Islands, and aside from traditional taxi and bus offerings, there have been one or two new additions since 2020.
Taxi services
There are quite a few taxi companies and when borders reopen you will be able to find one easily outside of the airport and hotels. If you need to call, here are some options:

CI: GO taxi fare app
The CI: GO taxi fare app allows you to calculate your taxi fare before you book, so you know what to expect. Simply enter your pick-up and drop-off locations, as well as the number of passengers and pieces of luggage if applicable, and you will receive a fare in both KYD and USD. Public buses
Public bus routes run the length and breadth of Grand Cayman, with different sticker numbers and colours assigned to each route.
The main bus terminal is next to the George Town Public Library on Edward Street, however you can flag down public buses anywhere on their route, assuming there is space aboard, or wait at a bus stop on the major routes. Just let your driver know when you’d like to disembark.
Services start at 6am and fares range from $2-$5 depending on route distance, with both KYD and USD accepted.

Flex
The newest thing on Cayman’s travel scene is Flex, an Uber-style app allowing users to ride share and GPS track journeys to ensure the most efficient routes are used. Flex uses your phone’s GPS to detect the user’s location and link them with the nearest available driver.
The whole system is cashless, using the supplied on-file card, and users can split fees with friends easily through the app, which is available on iPhone and Android.

Rental cars
There is no shortage of rental cars in Cayman, whether for tourists or locals who may enjoy resident discounts. Visitors renting a car must have a valid driver’s licence and insurance coverage. Check with the rental company for age restrictions.
