Private wealth specialist Fraser Allister TEP has joined the Bedell Cristin partnership in the Cayman Islands as part of the firm’s annual promotions, which have seen 12 team members from the firm’s Cayman, Jersey, London and BVI offices progress to new roles.

Fraser’s promotion means that Bedell’s Cayman International Private Client team is now headed by three partners, with more announcements about the firm’s growing team in the Island to follow.

Bedell Cristin global managing partner Tim Pearce congratulated Fraser on his progression to the partnership – Fraser joins Andrew Miller TEP and Daniel Altneu TEP as partners in the firm’s Cayman Islands International Private Client team, alongside global private wealth-focused partners Nancy Chien TEP and Sevyn Kalsi TEP in Jersey, and group partner Elena Gogh TEP in Guernsey.

Fraser joined Bedell in June 2021, having spent five years in the Cayman Islands with another leading firm, and having practised onshore in Scotland before that. He has been in private practice since 2008 and is admitted in the Cayman Islands and in BVI.

“We’re delighted to announce this thoroughly-deserved recognition of Fraser’s skill and dedication,” said Tim. “Fraser has carved out a real niche as a specialist in the complex area of regulatory law in the private wealth space, and continues to make a real impact on our practice. Six years on from our merger with Solomon Harris we continue to grow and develop our Cayman Islands offering – the news about counsel Tom Wright’s return to the team last month is part of that, and we look forward to sharing more news about recruitment and promotions in the coming weeks.”
