The Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual economic forum this week, with this year’s focus on how to future-proof the Caymanian economy for the next decade.
Under the theme ‘Cayman 2035’, the forum will be used to help develop strategies to “shape the economic and social landscape” in a fast-changing world, according to the Chamber.
The keynote speaker will be Trinidadian economist and Caribbean expert Marla Dukharan.
The full-day event will include presentations from Governor Jane Owen and public and private sector leaders in financial services, tourism, healthcare and infrastructure, the Chamber said.
The forum will focus on three areas: building a future-ready workforce, sustaining economic success, and enhancing the quality of life.
The event will be held on Friday, 17 Jan. at the Kimpton Seafire Resort, from 8:30am-6:30pm.
