Man charged with attempted murder in West Bay shooting

A 22-year-old man, who was arrested Saturday following a shooting at a construction site in West Bay, has been charged with attempted murder.

A security guard at the construction site in Birch Tree Hill Road suffered a foot injury in the shooting.

The arrested man, from West Bay, has also been charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, police said in a statement Tuesday.

He appeared in court on Monday, and has been scheduled to return on 7 March. He has been remanded in custody.
