A machete-wielding raider escaped with cash and other items after he robbed a convenience store.
The man went into the George Town shop and demanded cash from the assistant on duty.
He fled on foot with cash and other items. No one was injured.
The incident happened at the Mary Street Convenience Shop, George Town, at about 7pm on Tuesday, 5 March.
The thief was said to be tall, of medium build, with a dark complexion.

He was wearing a hat and light-coloured clothing, but his face was covered.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
