This month marks a major milestone for Casa 43 Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar — 10 years of serving the Cayman Islands with passion, flavor, and heart.
Founded in 2015 by business partners Max and Lloyd, Casa 43 was born from a simple vision: to bring the bold, authentic flavors of Mexico to locals, residents, and tourists alike in an environment that feels like home. A decade later, Casa 43 has grown into a culinary institution — one that continues to innovate, evolve, and make guests feel like part of the family.
“Our goal was never just to serve great food,” says Max. “It was to create a place where people felt something. Where they felt welcome. Where they belonged. Because it’s not just about the meal—it’s how we make you feel.”
From the very beginning, Casa 43 has focused on staying true to the roots of Mexican cuisine while introducing creative, modern twists that reflect the spirit of Cayman. But the heart of the restaurant has always been its people. Many of the Casa 43 staff have been part of the team for years—some since day one—bringing consistency, warmth, and personality to every shift and every service.
“Our low staff turnover is something we’re incredibly proud of,” Lloyd adds. “It’s created a family atmosphere that our guests feel the moment they walk in. That’s part of what makes Casa 43 so special.”
As Casa 43 celebrates this 10-year anniversary, Max and Lloyd reflect with gratitude on the journey — the challenges, the triumphs, and especially the community that has embraced and supported them along the way. They extend heartfelt thanks to every guest who’s dined with them, every team member who’s contributed to their growth, and every friend who’s cheered them on.
“It’s been an incredible ride,” says Max. “And we’re just getting started. The next 10 years are going to be even better.”
Here’s to a decade of dedication, deliciousness, and making people feel at home — Casa 43 style.
