The 2025 Summer Reading Challenge begins on Tuesday, 1 July 2025, under the theme ‘Quests and Conquests’, the Cayman Islands Public Library Services announced.
“The Summer Reading Challenge aims to develop lifelong learners and encourage its participants to enjoy reading over the summer,” commented CIPLS Acting Director Kevin Goring.
The challenge is open to all children between ages 6 and 17. They may sign up electronically or at any public library between 1 July and 23 August.
Goring added, “This year, we will be introducing new activities in line with the theme, ‘Quests and Conquests’, including a scavenger hunt and movie days, new awards for the top winners, and a variety of prizes to incentivise loyal participants to continue reading.”
