While the rest of Cayman was busy relaxing during the long weekend of 7-10 June, selected players for the Cayman’s Senior National Beach Team were busy earning points on the beaches of La Paz, Mexico.

It’s hard to believe that Miss Cayman Islands Monyque Brooks is already coming to the end of her reign. The lady has done the islands proud over the past year, and now it is time for her to hand over her crown to a successor.

Where would pirates be without their wenches? Adrift in a sea of emotions, that’s where, which is why the Festival Queen competition is back for Pirates Week 2016. This Friday, the public will be heading to George Town for fireworks, food, entertainment and the chance to choose their queen.
