Drum practice ends day with a bang
Drum roll, please … The young drummers of the Seventh-day Adventist Gideon Pathfinders Drum Corps are beating a path to success. The Cayman Compass visited one of their practice sessions last week, when the drummers, ages 10 to 15, were gathered at the Savannah Seventh-day Adventist Church yard.
Church wedding for the Hunts
Tying the knot before 150 of their closest friends and family in a traditional wedding were Shellen McDonald, 19, originally from Puerto Cabeza, Nicaragua, and Oshane Hunt, 24, originally from Kingston, Jamaica.
Students raise $3,389 for Cancer Society
Cayman Academy students raised $3,389 through contributions by friends and family for the Cayman Islands Cancer Society in their annual Cancer Walk.
