Mr. Alee Fa’amoe, Cable and Wireless’ Vice-President Broadband services for the Cayman Islands, has been promoted to the regional post of VP Broadband for the Northern Area, C&W said.
The Northern Area consists of the islands of the Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos, British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, and Montserrat. According to a company press release, Mr. Fa’amoe takes responsibility of managing existing Broadband products and introducing new ones across the five-nation Northern Area.
Mr. Fa’amoe will continue to work from Cayman, and will play a dual role on behalf of both the Cayman Business Unit and the Northern Area.
‘The Cayman Islands has a wider portfolio of Internet products and can share learning with our sister Business Units,’ said Mr. Fa’amoe. ‘Many islands are facing competition for the first time and need a more robust set of products to compete effectively.’
Mr. Fa’amoe is part of a Regional Broadband team, headed by Executive VP Broadband for the Region, Mr. Enrique Camacho, covering all the C&W islands in the Caribbean.
Mr. Fa’amoe has been part of the C&W team for 20 years.
